Hey guys, so following my moodboard that I did the other day for my office, I’m trying to decide how to do the statement back wall. Firstly excuse the photo quality, my camera is still broken, so this is an iphone picture. Also the mess, but hey I’m sorting out my office so yeah. So while trying to come up with an idea, I came up with loads..crazy right, but I narrowed it down and I need your guys help….thoughts guys thoughts?

I’ve put the patterns down below to get a better idea.

See I love the idea of doing this, as it would be like having a wall covered in rainbow hundreds and thousands…fun but it might make me want to eat my weight in cake everyday…circle-confetti-pattern-1

So this is Richard’s favourite one, i really like the triangle confetti it reminds me of 90’s beach huts..

I have a piece of art work like this, and well if you follow me on instagram you will know that I’m crushing on the grid pattern quite hard at the moment. Plus this just reminds me of Hockney’s work too…. pretty pretty pink.

And the first design I did. I love the strong green with the confetti accents..but it is only half the wall…ahh I dont know guys!! Help! I’m leaning towards the giant light teal circle.

Ok I gave myself the mission to try to put myself out there more on the blog, and so thought what better way then doing a fun valentines day shoot with my sister and my very talented friend Letty. Let me start off by saying that we started the day with 7 beautiful bright red heart balloons. By  the end of the day we had 3 left..1 we gave away to a lovely girl named Kat, check her site out here, and the other 3 got lost to the sky..thanks to poor tying (letty) and abby not grasping how strings work..lots of laughs and awkward poses later here are my favourite shots..

asos-curve,-curvy-girl-plussize-fashion-style-valentines-day-So incase some of you have never seen me, which is a high possibility because I really don’t post many pictures of myself on here. Here I am…totally regretted the nude tights in the end…black would have suited so much better…oh well. Surprisingly I don’t totally hate this picture. Letty is pretty good at managing to make me look less like a character from Wallace and Gromit.  I feel like I’m on this journey of trying to learn to appreciate, care and love my body. Since having Arch I’m probably at my biggest I have ever been, which is pretty much down to a few factors that I won’t go into for now, but it’s all a learning curve..isn’t it.

I need to do a big shout out to my best friend Letty for being the photographer/stylist and confidence booster for the day. Go check out her work because shes crazy talented. And shes like my saviour for most things!

Quite possibly my favourite picture of the shoot….

Abby wears New Look dungarees ( no longer available) , vintage top and Dr Martens boots..

I’m wearing pink pinafore dress from ASOS, which is sadly out of stock but here’s something similar. My coat is ASOS too..out of stock obvs..

My bag is, fun fact it’s actually a cooler bag, but it was too cute not to use as a bag. Quite possibly one of my favourite purchases EVER.

So we went to the beautiful Nottinghill Gate, where everyone dreams of living in one of the colourful houses, fun fact no.2 as I was posing in front of the pink house ( see pic below) the owner came back..not awkward at all..

Abby my darling sister looking effortlessly beautiful as always.

Here’s me before I awkwardly backed away from said pink house…

Here is wishing you all a lovely Valentines day or Galentines day xxx

How to add the finishing touches to your bathroom

Ok so my bathrooms are nearly finished, I’m just waiting for a few accessories to be delivered, eeek I can’t wait to show you guys! But I thought I’d share with you a few ways to add some finishing touches that will give your bathroom that last little bit of pop it needs!

A mirror..I think it’s pertty important for a bathroom, I mean come on, we need mirrors to look into when we are brushing our teeth and pulling weird know the face..everyone does when brushing their teeth…Anyway choosing a mirror for your bathroom doesn’t have to be boring, you could get some really lovely abstract mirrors or  even get a few and create a feature wall.

A nice and simple free standing mirror  is great for a bathroom thats possibly tiled, hanging mirrors can be a bit of a nightmare! This is from Marks & Spencers and costs £15.00. original_antique-gold-sunburst-mirrorTo add a bit of drama to your bathroom, a gold sunburst mirror! This is from Not on the Highstreet and costs £169.00. This is such a statement piece! I love it.

original_deep-bronze-and-black-mirrorsA really unique mirror here, they kind of look like cake tins no? These are from Not on the HIghstreet and costs £19.00.

I loe the simplicity of the thin black frame on these mirrors. if you have a small bathroom with a bare wall make a statement and make your room look larger by using large mirrors!! I love the idea of having a large mirror just resting against a wall. Maybe one day..not overly baby safe though. These are from Not on the Highstreet and cost £26.95.

Have some fun with the storage and accessories in your bathroom. As we all know I am loving the metallic colour pallet at the moment, but If you’re not quite sure,  read more on the subject here, it might convince you. You can even step it up a notch and add mosaic accessories to your bathroom.

Birthday Fun Pins

So yesterday I turned 26 and celebrated my birthday having a chilled day with Richard. To be honest a lot of things right now  completely drain me, so chilling was perfect. We ate cake, we watched films, and did a trip to Ikea..was perfect. This week sees us going to my brothers wedding so to be honest I’m kind of saving my energy for that..very different to last year, where we partied! Anyway for today I thought i’d look at awesome Birthday pins..for the Birthdays in your lives coming year…i’ll drink and party!

I think i’d like to have a really big do for my 30th. I have 4 years to plan it. This year has been super crazy, and gone super fast. It’s crazy to think that next month I might have a baby and that me and Richard would have been engaged for a year…without anything being planned bar the photographer..crazy!!! Here is to another year…next year should be interesting!! (ask for Sophie, unless it’s a question about steak then Richard is your guy)

Where to get plus size maternity clothes.

So since being pregnant I have gone down from a size 18-20 to more of a 16-18, but with the ever growing belly who can really tell!

When buying maternity clothes I have learnt some rules.

Firstly always get your size, don’t feel like you need to go bigger for the ever growing belly, they are made to expand! If your unsure on your size try it on, if it fits comfortably and theres a bit or room your good!

Don’t feel the need to replace your whole wardrobe. Your only pregnant for 9 months and maternity clothes can be super expensive. Another note always check the ASOS sale for maternity clothes..its great.

Ok so regarding maternity clothes I have brought a pair of casual jeans which I got in the ASOS sale for £12, I also brought a smart pair of black jeans from Matalan for £14. I have this set which I got from New Look which came with a pair of leggings, a strappy top and a belly band. These are my saviours! I wear the black top under my ‘normal’ clothes just for a little bit of extra support. add some t-shirts to the mix and your sorted.

Oh and maternity or nursing bras… honestly bending over when wearing a wired bra..agony. Now I am hoping to breast feed so I just brought a nursing bra..they were the same price as the maternity ones, and I figured this way double purpose..there’s probably and unspoken rule of not to wear a nursing bra until your nursing…everywhere pregnant women may be gasping…or not..

anyway and when you start to get really big, you can get some maternity pants..pretty much the equivalent to granny pants..but I swear bigger…ridiculously unsexy..but comfy …

Lastly stripes. Stripes are a pregnant gals best friends, they are so cute and always compliment a bump. I also found even though I’m bigger wearing the more fitted tops may be look smaller in a weird way rather then a loose top just hanging.

So enough of the rules and to some cute plus size maternity clothes.  ASOS maternity go up to a few sizes, I think up to size 20. But you can always look at their plus size collection too. Empire line dresses are great for bumps! Here are some cute outfits on ASOS that I am loving.

So these are four outfits I love at the moment from ASOS. Firstly the skirt in rust is so cute and casual. Perfect for the summer. This costs £35 and goes up to a size 18. See it here.

The dip dyed shirt is so awesome and would be great for work or a summer evening. I love it. This costs £22 and goes up to a size 20. See it here.

Rust seems to be calling to me..but these chino’s are super cute and the striped top. I tell you everyone looks good in stripes. But these are a good alternative if your not much of a jeans person.. These cost £35 and go up to a size 20. They also do them in navy too! See them here.

A little sexy number. I mean just because we are pregnant doesn’t mean we can’t wear something a little sexy no? This costs £25 and goes up to a size 20. See it here.

So ASOS does cute maternity stuff but doesn’t have the biggest sizes..after some research I’ve noticed that New Look do up to size 18 and sometimes size 20 in maternity..But Simply Be do bigger sizes, as does Next, they go up to size 22. But I have to say after looking around there’s not a lot of option for bigger sizes and maternity. I know you can wear everyday clothes, but items like maternity leggings and belly bands I would be lost without them. If your plus size and bigger then a size 22, let me know where you shop so we can let all the readers know!

I got left  comment from a company that does up to bigger sizes. They go up to a size 26-28. Elizabeth Brown Maternity. So do check them out!

Commission work for Weddings. Now on our Etsy shop

So recently I have been occupied doing a big commission piece for a wedding stylist in Swindon called Event Style. Take a look at this site as they offer loads of awesome options for wedding styling! Great if your around Wiltshire.  This project took a lot of out of me, I forgot how tiring sanding is.. but it was fun and I was pretty happy with the outcome. So much so that I am going to put the designs on Etsy so they can be made to order. SO you guys can enjoy them too! Wedding season is coming up and I really liked the plain wood board I did. Probably more so then the white boards, as it just looked so natural you know. But I also did a few other big boards for specific areas of the wedding like the church, or where you have your ceremony and even little ones for cute table decor. So take a look below and there’s a link to our shop at the end.

We do custom signs too and I will be doing an in depth price list soon too! But until then go take a look at our Etsy shop and some of our new wedding signs.

And have a lovely FRIDAY!! Yay it’s the weekend!!

Baby shower games and awesome decor ideas

So I am super lucky that my sister-in-law Tash has offered to throw me a baby shower and I am pretty excited because the guest lists included family and friends who I haven’t seen in a while ( if they can make it that is).  I have been to a few showers, and it’s always a great day filled with food and games and lots of baby stuff! So I thought i’d look at some awesome shower decor ideas both for neutral and gender specific parties which might give you ideas if your planning one in the future.

This looks like a great game. Babies first portrait. Give your guests a a piece of card and a pen. They draw what they think your baby will look like while keeping the card in front of their head…yes it will be mostly scribbles but get your guests to sign them, and they could be a fun addition to a guestbook with pictures and a message from your baby shower.

This could be a great slightly cheaper alternative to decorating onesies. All you need is some fabric pens and make some little scraps of fabric and wool to make some fun bibs.

But I have to say, how awesome do these look? You could probably get a bunch of plain onesies in bulk pretty cheaply, then with some fabric paints, transfers, scraps of materials you could make some awesome onesies. if your not finding out the sex, cute pictures, typography, and patterns are always great. Can’t go wrong with polka dots and stripes.

If your friend is having a girl, why not get together to make some cute headbands. elastic is really cheap and can be embellished really easily!! A great idea if your having a girl.

A really awesome game, guess the baby. Get your guests to bring a baby picture of themselves. Guess who is who, and chuckle at some of the fashion choices too.

This is soooo pretty and in my eyes is gender neutral. I know what your thinking, come on this screams girly. But let’s remember that the mother is in fact female, so having a nice spread to entice your guests doesn’t have to be gender specific. Cute cupcakes, pink lemonade, some sweets makes a cute dessert bar. I love theses colour too, can’t go wrong with pastels..

Here are some awesome decor ideas that you can get or even DIY yourself.

Cute bunting that you can choose colours for, depending on the sex or keeping it neutral. It could be cute to give this to the mummy afterwards as some nursery decor too! This is from Party made pretty. Also you could really easily do this DIY. Cut some circles out of colour card and stick them back to back and simply sew through them. Ta da..

These are so cute to make your guest’s drinks pop! This is from Glitter Me Sweet.

A cookie cutter to make some awesome cookies! How cute would these look? This is from Cupcake Social.

Another fancy decor, one you could easily make with some tissue paper or even material, are tassels. I love this colour combo! From Pom Joy Fun.

If your planning to reveal your gender at your baby shower let your host know about getting these which are awesome and a great photo opportunity. Get these from Thimble Press. You could also make these really easily by getting some tissue paper and sequins and just finding something to pop them out of. I did a confetti DIY post ages ago which might help! Take a look here.

Let me know of some of your favourite games you can do on the cheap or for free! (ask for Sophie, unless it’s a question about steak then Richard is your guy)

Loving this weather

I am enjoying the weather so much right now. I mean I can imagine when I get full term in July I won’t be enjoying the sunshine but an the minute I can’t get enough of it. I’ve eaten my weight in ice lollies and even got my legs out. The baby is doing flips in my tummy, and I’m starting to get a bit of a waddle, but hey the suns out and I am getting some much needed vitamin D.

I think, now I don’t want to jinx it but I think , I think that maybe is spring is here..I hope this weekend will be filled with sunshine! How will you spend your weekend? I am thinking maybe a picnic with pink lemonade…yep..that sounds good!I leave you with a picture of me in the sun taking last week before going out…fun times!! Enjoy the sun all I’m off to get some food

Fashion Weeks Street Style 2015

So when I look at the fashion weeks I tend to normally look at all the designers work and drool over the collection, and don’t get me wrong some of the collections look amazing. But I thought I show you some of favourite street styles from the weeks..I love everyones individual fashion sense and it gives me so many ideas of how to revamp my own wardrobe.

So this is taken at New York Fashion week, and I am totally in love with that Jacket. I don’t even mind the hat, the whole look just works, and she looks effortlessly awesome. See more NFW street styles here.

I love the causal roll neck paired with the studded heels…and I am totally drooling over that pink skirt. This is Kerry Pieri in Alaia shoes and Erin Dana belt bag.  See more street style on Harpers Bazaar.

Soraya Bakhtair Vogue 15Sept14 Dvora_b_426x639

Nothing better then shades of blue on a frost morning, I love the amount of texture going on in this outfit, and how casual does she look with her coat just hanging off her shoulders.  This is Soraya Bakhtair who said on her outfit “I’ve opted for a Tibi jacket, Topshop skirt, Céline bag, Dolce Vita shoes and Italia Independent sunglasses.” See more street style on Vogue.

Just look at that dress, and it works so well with the casual down sneakers..I love the collar and pleats, there’s just so much structure going on.. See more on Teen Vogue of Fashion Week’s street style.

I think it can be quite hard to pull of the casual but chic look, looking like you haven’t tried, but amazingly chic at the same time. I love the rolled up jeans, and the stament white tee plus that coat is to die for. Danielle wears: Coat: River Island, Jeans: River Island, Top: River Island, Trainers: Zara, Bag: Whistles. This is from Cosmopolitan.

This is quite possibly one of my favourite outfits from the street styles. I love the blue tones paired with the statement red lips and toes..effortlessly classy. This is from Pop Sugar, take a look at more street style there.

Let’s not forget the men, I love the casual braces and rolled up pin stripe trousers, this guy looks like he doesn’t give a shit…but does it soo well. From WWD take a look at more men’s street style.

These guys just have it all going on, the tartan against the blue suit paired with the orange tie, it’s just genius. And the relaxed purple v-neck sweater brings a preppy new dapper look to the trio. Everything is right with these guys outfits. See more street style here.

I think fashion is such a great way of expressing yourself, I remember I used to wear the most outrageous clothes. The more patterns the better. But I loved it, and although I have calmed down a bit now, there’s nothing better then getting dolled up to go out, or even putting on your polka dot dungarees and powder blue crop top to clean the house..wear what your comfortable in but remember to have fun with it too.

Christmas Party Outfit ideas from ASOS. With curvy and petite suggestions.

Ok so I talk a lot about ASOS being great for plus size clothes, and they haven’t disappointed with some of the new items they have on the site at the moment. I also put an option which caters for the smaller ladies, which goes up to size 18. Right to the outfit choices.

So outfit 1 looks so Christmassy I could die, the dress from the Curve range costs £150…so pretty expensive but pretty pretty too. It also goes from sizes 18-28. And because of it’s shape with the skirt flowing high from the waist it will flatter most shapes, especially if like me you have a wee bit of a tummy.

The gold clutch adds a bit of glamour, complimenting the jewels on the dress, making you feel like a Christmas tree decoration. ( which should be everyone’s aim at a Christmas party). At £12 you wouldn’t feel so bad about splurging on the dress!

The shoes, ahhh I would die for the shoes, so much you can tell I added the red ones to another outfit. The great thing about these shoes are the heels. They are way more comfortable then stilettos I think because you feel more just me? At £50 this bring this outfit to a £212 total….ouch but what can I say the outfit is yummy.

So to Outfit 2. A little bit more 50’s sexy with the off the shoulders cut. I love the shoes they paired it with which are on the ASOS site next to the dress, so just added a different tone to make the outfit complete.

So the dress, is a beautiful rich plum, with a similar cut to the first dress which will flatter so many body types. Giving a subtle sexiness with the off the shoulders, just showing a bit of skin. This dress is from the curve section and comes in sizes 18-28 and is £40. ( a little more appealing money wise then outfit 1).

I paired the dress with a slightly darker tone velvet cross body bag. I like the idea of having a colour and just pairing two shades of that a little bit different you know. This bag is £18 which brings this outfit in as the cheapest at £58. ( Regarding shoes, a simple black stiletto will work wonders).

Outfit 3. For our smaller readers, this number is set to amaze and stun your colleagues and family. With the beautiful shape and fit, paired with the silver glitter sparkle effect. Your hitting the Christmas angel decoration with this. Sequins are always in for Christmas and this ticks all the boxes. It comes in sizes 4-18 so great for a petit figure, or even figures which are more straight down, the shape where it clinches in at he waist, will give the look of some added curves and hourglass shape. The dress costs £85.

The shoes, again the shoes same as above but just in red, they cost £50. I look at these shoes and just think of Jessica Rabbit. They ooze sexiness and the bold velvet red shoes paired with the silver sequins, it’s daring but I think it could work…Why play it safe at Christmas. So all in all this outfit comes in at £135.

I hope I may have given you all a few idea if your on the hunt for some Christmas outfits, take a look at the rest of ASOS’s collection they have some beauts there right now!! Have a good weekend all and wish me luck with packing up my house..
