My search for a new house has taken me through so many different bedrooms. I’ve been thinking a little more about how to decorate Arch’s room when we move. He’ll be a toddler in no time. I’m keen to give him something that’s fun and inspiring.
I’ve spent so many years trying to make my rented homes look homely without losing my deposit. That the idea of actually being able to paint, build and hang up anything I could possibly desire..well my head is bursting with ideas!
LED light rope can be great as its really versatile. Make shapes or spell out a word, this would look great over the cot or bed. As they are LEDs, they cost almost nothing to run right through the night, if your child has a fear of the dark! They make a perfect night light.
Kids rooms need to be fun! They aren’t just for sleeping. Playing is also a big part especially if you don’t have a separate playroom! Having a fun bedroom might keep them occupied in the morning so you can keep sleeping! So making it a fun place I think is crucial!
Buying a house is such a big deal…overwhelmingly so! We found ourselves looking round houses trying to picture the home Arch is going to grow up in, did it have a garden where he can play? Are the stairs a death trap? Is his bedroom a good size? The house we have put an offer in for has 3 bedrooms. 2 double 1 single, and although it’s still early days. The idea is is we are going to give Arch the bigger double because it’s the furthest away from the stairs and I love the idea of giving him a bedroom/playroom!
I love this room! It’s bright it’s fun and I love the idea of having a teepee tent for him to have as an alternative play house.
A little table and chairs for a tea party is a must in any little girls rooms.
Give a bunk bed a more teen spin with books and a sofa. Keeping the storage, but making your teen feel a bit more mature!
I am in love with this Star Wars one!
Now last but not least, the main play area.
A little play village within the bedroom! Such a cute idea! Plus there are tons of tutorials of how to make little shop fronts from cardboard. So it doesn’t have to cost a bomb!
This room looks amazing, and it’s any kids dream having a bed in a makeshift treehouse in your bedroom!
Such a simple idea. But for any kid who loves Lego… A dream come true.
Make a kid feel special with a swing in their room! Always get a professional to put it up though!
I can’t wait to decorate a room for Archer, so many ideas to choose from!
