Every girl needs flowers

Ok so it’s coming up to the year countdown of when I am planning to have our wedding..and no I haven’t booked anything yet, but as soon as my venue is booked I will start up Wedding Wednesday’s again filled with lots of ideas and DIY’s. But until then, it never hurts to fill your day with floral love! Enjoy

I love the idea of having a bouquet filled with a varity of colour and texture. My idea for the wedding is to do a floralworkshop, then have a nice evening before the wedding filled with cocktails and fun with my bridesmaids when we all sit down together and make our own bouquets….ordering a bunch of fresh flowers in for this.

I making it my mission at sompoint to do a big floral shoot…the closest I have come to doing one was in Italy…fun times..see it here.

I am torn between pastel arrangement or vibrant one like this…descions descions..what do you guys think?

See pastels do look pretty…damn beautiful right….

I dream of having a garden full of colour with flowers and ivy hanging down… Love this so much..if this could be in my garden right now that would be great thanks.

I have done a few face the foliage portraits, which are so much fun..they are on my instagram which you can see here… but I think there’s so many creative ways to make artworks out of flowers, like this so simple yet so beautifull.

This is from an instalation by Rebecca Louise Law’s work….the rest of it is just as divine. If I could have this at my wedding thst would be amazing.

Well this totally needs to happen..it’s like a floral dream…

I hope you all enjoy your Tuesday..I’m currently led in bed with a grumpy boy after having his jabs yesterday.

Pins I am loving right now

Good enough to eat…just look at the colours…man I could murder some ice cream right now. This is from Present and Correct.

Look at the colour, looking at this just makes me want to go to Paris and sip coffee, eat petit cakes and walk around carrying fresh flowers and freshly baked bread…ah…to Paris I want to go. This is from I Love Paris During The Summertime.

A motto I must live by…flowers everyday..even home grown in the garden yes please. This is from Design Love Fest.

More flowers…what can I say flowers make me happy..I love how this looks like a work of art..the colours are so vibrant. I couldn’t find the source for this..so if you know it drop me an email.

I love this so much. This is from Studioworx and this piece is done by Claire Desjardins. I want it in my home. I love how it looks like a melted candle…

Sometimes you just need to get down to the point. This is from Teen Witches. I need this plastered on my wall…I need to get things sorted!

Anyway thank god it’s FRIDAY! I hope you all have a good weekend!!

Just a quick note to say thank you to all of your kind words on mine and Richards Engagement, completely over the moon!

Now onto today’s post we all know I have a small obsession with flowers, so why would it stop just because I was is Italy. I love how nearly every house had a display of flowers surrounding their windows and garden, as if there a giant flower show and the whole of Italy are competing. Here are some of my favorite pictures I took of floral displays.

How lovely is this, this is like my absolute dream. A house covered inside and out in plants and flowers.

Some beautiful flowers Richard brought for me the day before he proposed, guess he was trying to butter me up! These are from the local florist and old lady who watched as Richard gave them to me and gave me a lovely big smile and a wave.

I thought this little house was si pretty, completely covered, then I saw this little pot just in the window. Interesting no??

I saw these pink flowers everywhere in different shades, maybe its the popular flower of the moment. They were so vibrant and pretty though.

Everywhere I looked in Italy, balconies were just covered in flowers and plants, I love this one i particular because of the picture shrine beside it, its just so beautiful, I couldn’t not take a picture of it.

So there’s my snippet of floral Italy style for you, I tried so hard to get some pictures of the countless fields of sunflowers we drove past, but it was always at such a speed and no where to stop alas, I failed. But do enjoy these ones! Tomorrow Italian cakes and believe me there are quite a few!

Speak soon x

So we spent the weekend celebrating Richard’s 23rd and we seemed to pack a hell of a lot into that weekend. My camera has officially died, so please do excuse the iphone pictures. So his Birthday was on Friday and it started with him waking up at 5am to open his presents. (he’s like a kid). Then we brought the doughnuts for work ( tradition apparently) and were able to leave at 12. So while I baked a cake Richard went for a Birthday bike ride and definitely did not get hit in the head by a pigeon…(don’t worry the pigeon is fine). Anyway, here he is Friday evening trying on his new clothes (all at the same time I might add)…

So here Richard is modelling a Belkin cycling jersey, Cotton shorts from Burton, Jeans (models own) and Jack & Jones trainers from ASOS, which he got from his parents. Doesn’t he look like a happy chappy.

So at the weekend we had a BBQ with his family, which was loovely as it was so warm outside and everyone ate their weight in meat. I even took over the barbecuing at one point..and it was chicken and no-one got sick, so yeah barbecuing is going on my CV under useful skills…

Then we hit the farmers market on Sunday morning. While I munched on these cute macaroons (Salted caramel and rose water flavour, they were sooo yummy) Richard went out cycling with his brother. Don’t worry there was no pigeon incident this time.
